Setting up your college
As an administrator, you get your college ready so teachers can start marking attendance. You build things up in a natural order using the admin tabs. This guide walks you through that order.
The order to set things up
Each step builds on the last, so it's easiest to go in this order:
- Add your subjects — the subjects taught at your college.
- Create your classes — each class (or cohort), with its batch.
- Add students — the roster for each class.
- Invite your teachers — so they can sign in.
- Create assignments — connect each teacher to the class and subject they teach.
Once assignments are in place, teachers can mark attendance, and it flows into your dashboard automatically.
Finding your way around
On desktop, the admin tabs are Attendance, Teachers, Classes, Subjects, Students, Assignments, and Account. On a phone, you'll see Attendance, Students, Classes, Teachers, and a More menu that holds Subjects, Assignments, and Account.
The Attendance tab is where you review attendance across your college once teachers start marking — you don't mark attendance yourself as an admin.
Step by step
Each part of setup has its own detailed guide:
- Subjects — add the subjects taught at your college.
- Classes, batches & promotion — create classes and, later, move them forward.
- Students — add your roster, one at a time or in bulk.
- Inviting teachers — bring your teachers onto Daily Tab.
- Assignments & electives — connect teachers to classes and subjects.
