Students

Students belong to a class. You add each class's roster once, and from then on teachers mark attendance against it. You can add students one at a time or paste a whole list at once.

Done on a computer. Adding, editing, and removing students is done on desktop. On a phone you can view rosters, but the buttons to change them don't appear.

Choosing a class first

Rosters are per class, so on the Students tab you first pick which class you're working with. Everything you add or edit then applies to that class.

Adding students

Choose Add students. You have two ways to do it:

Pasting a list is the fast way to set up a class at the start of a term.

Editing a student

Use Edit next to a student to fix their name or roll number. Their attendance history stays intact.

Removing a student

Use Remove to take a student off the active roster — for example, if they leave the class. This is a soft removal: they no longer appear on the mark sheet, but their past attendance is kept so your records and reports stay accurate. Removed students still show in history with a Removed tag.

Erasing a student's personal data is different from removing them, and it lives on the Attendance tab, not here. It anonymizes the student's identity while keeping the attendance counts — useful for data-protection requests. See Reviewing attendance for where to find it.

What comes next

With students in place, connect a teacher to the class so they can start marking:
