Subjects

Subjects are the foundation everything else builds on — teachers mark attendance for a class in a specific subject. Adding your subjects is usually the first thing you do when setting up your college.

Done on a computer. Adding, renaming, and removing subjects is done on desktop. On a phone you can view your subjects, but the buttons to change them don't appear.

Adding a subject

Open the Subjects tab and choose Add subject. Give it a name and save. Repeat for every subject taught at your college. You only need to add each subject once — it's then available to assign to any class.

Renaming a subject

Use Edit next to a subject to change its name. The subject keeps all its history and assignments — only the name changes.

Removing a subject

Use Delete to remove a subject you no longer need. This is a soft removal: the subject's past attendance history is kept, so your records stay complete, but any teacher assignments for that subject are cleared.

Because removing a subject clears its assignments, any teacher who was marking that subject will need a new assignment if you bring it back or move them to another subject.

What comes next

Once your subjects are in, the next steps are creating your classes and adding students:
